There's a big problem with all of these nutrient "RCT"s. The intervention is OTC and is therefore not controlled by a physician's order. Hence, these trials should be designated RUT's--Randomized Uncontrolled Trials.
Just so I undestand, 400mg is the recommendation for adult males?
Good to know, especially because these days all kinds of supplements come with added Vitamin C (collagen, electrolytes, etc.).
Collagen I believe requires vitamin c to be synthesized and absorbed into the blood stream.
Right but seems better if it's whole food sourced vitamin C not synthetic.
Agreed, just pointing out that its added to collagen for an actual reason rather than just the idea of more is better.
